So who invented the BBQ?
Where did it originate from?
Grilling by world records has somewhat existed in America before Colonial times.
The Arawak people of South America roasted meats on wooden structures called a abarbacoa.
For centuries, the term barbacoa referred to the wooden structure.
The term was eventually modified to "barbeque."
It was also known to be called and refered as pit-style cooking.
New Zealand had their version of pit style cooking well before with covering the pit over to seal the heat in and called the Hangi.
The term Barbeque was originally used to in America to slow-cook pigs; however, different ways of this techique were used to preparing food and started to lead to variations in different countries
Over time, many other foods were prepared in different ways and cooked in a similar fashion.
